About Al-Futtaim
Al-Futtaim is a well-established family-owned company that operates in more than 20 countries. It has a strong presence in sectors such as real estate, automotive retail, finance, and more and is trusted by the top brands in US, UK, Japan, Germany, and more. Their business model is long-term and driven by values, and centered on customer satisfaction.
The Problem
Al-Futtaim’s current website wasn’t reflective of the magnitude or quality of their business. It wasn’t structured, user-friendly, and wasn’t in line with their current, global image. With a variety of types of audiences and business sectors the site needed complete overhaul, from the layout to functional.
They were looking for an online platform which could

What Media Feathers Did
We began by examining the way each of Al-Futtaim’s business sectors worked and how customers typically interact with their brands on the internet. We then mapped out the new structure that gives each sector a distinct space and kept the overall website clear and consistent.
In terms of design, we stayed clear of anything too flashy or heavy. Instead we concentrated on clean images, modern typography and a seamless browsing experience. Visitors are now able to visit the homepage and discover what they’re looking for with only a couple of clicks, whether it’s shopping, cars, finance, real estate.
In order to develop the site, we employed a CMS which is easy to modify. Al-Futtaim’s teams within the company can perform quick updates to their content, without the need for technical support.
The website was also designed to be flexible, and tested on different sizes and browsers to ensure it loads fast and works perfectly everywhere, from a smartphone located in Riyadh to a computer in Karachi.
The Outcome
Following the launch of the new website, Al-Futtaim saw major improvements across key areas of performance. People were spending longer on the website, browsing the site’s pages more thoroughly, as well as completing their actions – whether it was sending an inquiry for products, navigating through the catalog or submitting applications for services.
The internal feedback received was also positive. Teams that were responsible for various businesses now had the ability to make changes quickly and efficiently. The website became a useful tool and not just a brochure.
